Kingston bank robbery

A 52 year old Kingston man is wanted by police for the robbery of a CIBC bank branch on Bagot Street. [map]


UPDATE: On October 17th, Kingston Police issued the following notice:

On October 16, 2017 accused 52-year-old Michael James Behan was arrested by Belleville police. Behan was wanted for the CIBC bank robbery in Kingston on October 11, 2017.

Kingston police officers attended Belleville and returned Behan to Kingston where he was held to attend a bail hearing the following day.

Behan is charged with Robbery


Original Report:

Police report that at approximately 3 pm on October 11, Michael James Behan entered the bank carrying a duffel bag that allegedly had a knife inside. He approached a teller and demanded money, then fled the scene with a quantity of cash.

UPDATE October 14 – Kingston Police have released video images of the suspect from that day.

Officer attended the scene and soon afterwards responded to the suspect’s residence that is also on Bagot Street. A warrant was obtained and members of the Kingston Police Emergency Response Unit conducted a tactical entry, but Behan was not located.

Michael James Behan is described as being approximately 5’9” tall and 214 lbs (pictured below).
