Justin Hines Tour Date to Raise Funds for Kingston Kenya Charity

Published on: 2013/06/04 - in Featured News

Justin Hines will perform for ‘Kenya Help’ in Kingston on Friday, June 21 at the Grizzly Grill as part of his North America charity tour.

He will not be paid for his performances – 100% of the money raised at the shows will go toward charities – as Justin’s own ‘Vehicle of Change Tour‘ is working with PledgeMusic.com to cover his tour expenses.

Justin hails from Toronto and is a songwriter/singer. Living with a condition called Larsen’s Syndrome, he has made it his goal to help as many charities as he can through his music while promoting social change in general.

“The amazing people at Kenya Help work tirelessly to better the lives of so many children,” said Justin. “Because of this, we thought it would be great to have the Vehicle of Change Tour stop in Kingston. We want to try and help them raise some money and make the community aware of their incredible efforts in Kenya.”

Nancy Stevens, founder of Kenya Help, was very happy to receive an offer from Justin to perform in Kingston for her charity: “What a wonderful, generous thing for him to do. I am honoured he chose Kenya Help,” she said. “The kids in Kenya will benefit from this show by funds going towards building a school in the Rift Valley. Justin’s connection to Africa, with refurbishing 20 South African schools, just makes it feel even closer to home for me.”

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 each from the Grizzly Grill at 395 Princess Street (map) or at the door for $12 apiece.

The show starts at 8:00 p.m on June 21st.
