City Seeks Input on Fairway Hill Park improvements

Published on: 2018/11/14 - in News

Fairway Hill Park is set to receive some improvements and the City of Kingston is asking for the public’s opinion on some of the proposed changes.

Improvements include landscaping, seating areas, an accessible pathway and a children’s play area, with draft design concepts and options for the children’s play equipment posted in the park at 170 Fairway Hill Cres. and online at GetInvolved.CityofKingston.ca.

Residents and City staff identified the park for improvements in 2011 and the park improvements project was approved by council in 2013. Project funding is received in part from the Polson Estate through The Hannah Washburn, Neil Currie Polson Trust for Garden Beauty Open Spaces for the City of Kingston.

The community’s input will be a factor in determining the park design and the type of children’s play equipment to be installed. Feedback must be submitted by 4pm on Monday, November 26.

For accessibility feedback related to the improvements – in accordance with Ontario Regulation 191/11 – contact Laurie Paquin, Project manager, parks development, at lpaquin@cityofkingston.ca.
