Join the Inner Harbour Community Garden Collaborative (IHCGC) on Friday, June 8th for Build Day.

Volunteers are needed to help build brand new accessible garden beds at three locations around Kingston.

No building or gardening experience is necessary and a free BBQ lunch and live entertainment will be provided from 11:30 to 1:30pm at 610 Montreal Street.  Celebrate the new gardens with  volunteers, members of our community, and local dignitaries.

The three new gardens being built – thanks to a grant from the Community Foundation for Kingston and Area – will be at 263 Weller Avenue, 361 Montreal Street, and 342 Patrick Street.

People interested in volunteering to help out at the builds, which are expected to take place from 9am to 3pm, can show up at one of the three locations and, if possible, let them know you’ll be joining them by calling 613-542-0443 x100 or emailing cgrey@thk.ca.

The IHCGC is made up of Kingston Municipal Non-Profit Housing Corporation, Loving Spoonful, John Howard Society, The Gathering Place (Salvation Army), Kingston Community Health Centres, Extend-A-Family Kingston
