Canadian Coast Guard Responds to Emergency at Confederation Basin

in News by

Canadian Coast Guard personnel responded to Confederation Basin over the long weekend to assist a 19-foot vessel reporting engine troubles.

The boat with two occupants was hitting the Basin’s outer break wall and had water flooding over the stern before being towed away by a Coast Guard fast rescue craft.

The Coast Guard was able to successfully dewater the vessel and tow it to safety along with its uninjured occupants.
