Detectives from the Kingston Police General Crime Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who attempted a break and enter at Alfatech Scooters.

The business – located in the Peachtree Plaza strip mall at 1187 Princess Street – was broken into on Friday, April 25.

According to police, a crowbar was used to smash the glass in a side door entrance, which activated an intrusion alarm that caused the suspect to flee without taking any merchandise.

A CCTV camera was able to capture images of the individual (shown right), enabling police to briefly describe him as being a Caucasian man of approximately 30 years of age.

At the time of this incident, based on the images, he was wearing a black Nike ball cap, sunglasses, blue jeans, and a gray hoodie underneath a dark winter jacket with white stripes down the front and back of both arms.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Cam Gough at 613-549-4660 ext 6273 or via email at cgough@kpf.ca.

Anonymous tips can be made to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or on the website at tipsubmit.com. Tipsters are eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
