The City of Kingston reports it is hiring more than 200 students to fill a variety of positions this summer.

Summer student positions, which the City says will offer competitive pay and ‘look great on a resume’, are available to full-time secondary or post-secondary student who are returning to school in September 2020.

“Whether you’re interested in working with financial services or spending time outdoors as a member of Public Works or the Recreation team, the City has so many exciting work opportunities,” said Kara Dawson, acting recruitment and selection supervisor with the City.  “A job with the City is valuable stepping stone and a great way for students to make an impact within their community.”

To apply, create your online profile – and attach your resume and supporting details/documents – at the City’s Careers page. All information is kept confidential and, once your profile is created, you can apply to any City position.

Dawson recommends checking job listings often and to apply early, adding: “While the majority of student positions will be posted on Feb. 3, there may be postings that continue to trickle in.”

The City states that only those selected for further consideration will be contacted.
