Experience an Early Spring at the City’s Greenhouse

Published on: 2020/02/03 - in News

The City is inviting the community to experience spring early by enjoying its greenhouse on Sunday afternoons up to March 8.

Located at 111 Norman Rogers Dr. across from Centennial Public School, visitors can enjoy free visits between 2pm and 4pm on Feb. 9, 16, 23, and March 1 and 8.

“We’re hoping to see a great turnout this year as we open the doors to the City’s greenhouse once again,” said Troy Stubinski, Operations Manager, Public Works. “If you’re looking for a fun activity on a cold Sunday afternoon, come visit and enjoy.”

On display will be spring bulbs and tropical plants with daffodils, orchids, tulips and hyacinths in full bloom. Greenhouse staff will also be there to answer questions and in a few months they will begin planting around the City in various parks, walkways and green spaces.
