Last month, the Kingston community was invited to attend the Annual New Year’s Levee to meet local politicians scheduled to include Mayor Bryan Paterson; city councillors; Ian Arthur, Member of Provincial Parliament; and Mark Gerretsen, Member of Federal Parliament.
Attendees were also slated to experience a New Year’s welcome from Town Crier Chris Whyman and a poem from the City’s newly announced Poet Laureate, Jason Heroux.

“The New Year’s Levee is a time-honoured tradition here in Kingston. It’s a great opportunity for residents to chat with their local representatives,” said Mayor Paterson in an earlier release. “I look forward to welcoming Kingstonians to City Hall January 1st as we head into a new council term and a new year!”
The event took place from 2pm to 4pm on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019 in City Hall’s Memorial Hall at 216 Ontario Street.
