The City of Kingston is now looking for students to fill over 100 summer positions in a variety of jobs. Included in the growing list of jobs are positions with the Kingston Association of Museums, Art Galleries, and Historic Sites.

To be eligible for the City jobs, applicants must be a full-time secondary or post-secondary student who will be returning to full-time study in September 2017.

To apply for a position with the City, create an online profile – with your resume and supporting details/documents attached – at www.CityofKingston.ca/Careers.

Once your profile is created, you can apply to any position and the information you provide is kept confidential and will not be shared by the City.

A list of their summer student jobs can be found by choosing ‘SUMMER STUDENT‘ to do a search or clicking on the ‘student opportunities‘ link on that page.

“The City’s summer student positions offer competitive pay and look great on a resume. A job with us can be valuable stepping stone into the workforce,” said Dave Mignault, manager, organization development. According to a City release, the available positions pay up to $18 an hour.

The deadline for submitting an application is Sunday, March 5. Only those selected for further consideration will be contacted.

Kingston Association of Museums, Art Galleries, and Historic Sites also has their list of job positions posted on its website, including at least one at Fort Henry (pictured above).

Current posted opportunities for students there include museum curator, heritage presenter, marketing assistant, and historical interpreter.
