Kingston Sheep Dog Trials Festival Celebrates 30 Years

The Kingston Sheep Dog Trials Festival, the Top 100 rated event by Festivals and Events Ontario, returns to Grass Creek Park for a weekend of family fun.

This year’s event celebrates the 30th annual edition of the Trials and will take place between August 11 to 13 at Grass Creek Park. The Kingston Sheep Dog Trials is the largest festival of its kind in North America.

Free shuttle bus will be available and are dog-friendly as long as the dog is on a leash. The buses will be departing from the Toys R Us parking lot, the Kingston Memorial Centre and the Marriott Hotel at Kings Crossing. There will also be limited parking available at Grass Creek Park.

“This year is an exciting year at the Sheep Dog Trials Festival; we celebrate the 30th year of this event in Kingston and we are hosting the Canadian National Championships,” said Kingston Mayor Bryan Paterson. “I encourage everyone to make their way out to this three-day festival in beautiful Grass Creek Park to watch the competition and enjoy some family fun events!”

Tickets are available online at TicketPro until August 10 for $10 per person. Tickets at the gate will be $15 per person. Children under 12 are admitted free.
