The City states this winter parking bylaw is to ensure vehicles are off the streets so snow plows can effectively respond to winter weather events.
Disobeying the bylaw will result in a fine of up to $30 and vehicles found in contravention of the bylaw are subject to a tow.
“This bylaw forbidding overnight, on-street parking is meant to keep streets clear to allow for effective snowplowing and other overnight winter control efforts,” said Ian Semple, manager, service development, in a release.
This parking restriction continues until the end of March, 2018.
