The 2016 annual reports on drinking water quality was published by Utilities Kingston this week. These reports are completed as a result of Ontario Regulation 170 of the Safe Water Drinking Act.
The provinces maintains strict water quality standards which Utilities Kingston states it both achieves and exceeds.
Included in the document are details on how the drinking water system operates. A steady supply of high quality drinking water is maintained and delivered to every home and business within the urban area of the City.
This year’s report summarizes test results for the King St. Water Treatment Plant, serving central Kingston, and Point Pleasant Water Treatment Plant that serves west Kingston, as well as the Cana Water Treatment System serving part of the Kingston East community.
