Residents who are passionate about local history are being sought by the City of Kingston to serve as volunteer City Hall tour guides for the 2019 tourist season.

“If you love the city’s culture and heritage and love and enjoy public presentation, we encourage you to apply to become a City Hall ambassador,” said manager of cultural heritage, Jennifer Campbell. “As a tour guide, you will have the opportunity to share the histories behind the artifacts, portraits and architecture within this National Historic Site.”

Full training will be provided to all new guides who will then conduct tours between May and October with flexible weekday shifts. The City particularly encourages people multilingual in English and French or Chinese to apply.

Applications can be picked up at the Heritage Resource Centre (HRC) reception desk in City Hall or by emailing jlcampbell@cityofkingston.ca.

Once completed, the application should be returned in person (c/o: Jennifer Campbell) to the City Hall HRC reception desk or by emailing it to jlcampbell@cityofkingston.ca.
