Police Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify Armed Robbery Suspect

Kingston Police reports it is seeking the identity of a man involved in an armed robbery that took place during the evening of July 24, 2018.

Kingston Police wish to thank all those who shared this information on social media and provided information and tips. As a result of the public’s assistance, the suspect has been identified and is in custody.


The incident took place in the vicinity of Division Street and Highway 401 when the suspect approached another man in a parking lot.

Brandishing a weapon, the suspect demanded money from the victim and together went to a nearby automated teller machine where the victim withdrew cash that was handed over to the robber.

The suspect then fled the area without causing any physical harm to the victim.

Police obtained surveillance camera images of the suspect and ask anyone with information about this individual or the incident to contact Detective Constable Scott Huffman at shuffman@kingstonpolice.ca or 613-549-4660 ext. 6322, referencing occurrence number 18-27340.
