Family and Children’s Services Needs More Golfers

Swing for Success

The annual charity golf tournament Swing For Success takes place on September 8 and, although the agency reports more than 60 golfers have already registered, more golfers are needed.

It says that donations are needed now more than ever for the Futures Fund – a program that raises money to go toward college and university bursaries for local kids in the foster care system.

Family and Children’s Services of Frontenac, Lennox and Addington spent $57,000 on bursaries in June and the needs of the youth it serves are beginning to outpace their ability to fundraise.

Now in its 13th year, Swing For Success is especially important because it’s the main way Family and Children’s Services raise money for the Futures Fund.
