Over 90 volunteers joined up last Thursday to help collect food for the Salvation Army Food Bank and the Morning Star Mission in Napanee.

It was the sixth year of the Napanee Community Food Drive and, as shown in the video below, 6000 lbs of food was gathered for the charities.

Volunteers included staff from the Family and Children’s Services of Frontenac, Lennox and Addington who posted a reminder that Food banks across Ontario are in need of assistance.

Donations of non-perishable food or money can be made to your local Food bank by visiting 211ontario.ca and searching for “food bank” in your area.

Family and Children’s Services of Frontenac, Lennox and Addington (FACSFLA) is also looking for new Board members. The organization is seeking to have members with a wide range of skills, experience and demographic characteristics.
