A 31-year-old male from the Napanee area was apprehended and charged after Kingston Police received multiple calls of a naked male running around in a residential area.

At approximately 6:00 p.m. on November 2 uniform patrol officers attended Dolshire Street, located northwest from the Bath Road and Centennial Drive intersection. After speaking to residents police couldn’t immediately locate the male, but then shouts could be heard from the marsh area of Arbour Ridge Park that backs onto the suburban area.

An officer positioned a patrol SUV towards the body of water and with the vehicle spotlight was able to find the male, still naked, stuck waist deep in the marsh. A second officer was able to get closer and retrieve the male from the area of Teal Court.

He was initially apprehended under the Mental Health Act as police were concerned for his well-being. He was escorted to an ambulance to be initially assessed by paramedics for possible mild hypothermia and any other medical issues.

Emergency responders also received information leading them to believe the male may have been under the influence of crystal methamphetamine for as long as the last two days.

The male was charged via Appearance Notice with Mischief under $5,000 for attending the back deck of an occupied residence and breaking a window. He was then transported to hospital for further assessment and treatment.
