The City of Kingston is seeking advice from local citizens who are interested in local history and heritage conservation or in housing and homelessness.

Seven committee positions are available to be filled with Heritage Kingston and another position has opened with the housing and homelessness advisory committee.

“Becoming a member of a committee offers residents the chance to volunteer their unique skills and knowledge to strengthen our shared sense of community,” said city clerk, John Bolognone.

Thanks to a recent change in the eligibility requirements, newcomers who have lived in Kingston for at least a year and have permanent resident status are also invited to apply for one of the positions.

Applicants must also be 18 years or older and live in or own property in Kingston.

For more information about the committees, visit  CityofKingston.ca/committees.

Applications must be submitted by February 5 at 4:30 pm online at CityofKingston.ca/committees or the city clerk’s office in City Hall, located at 216 Ontario Street.
