Aurora Crystal Head Vodka Now Available in Ontario

Ontario fans of  the original Crystal Head Vodka – founded by Kingston area resident Dan Aykroyd and artist John Alexander – can now finally enjoy its newest blend: Aurora.

Although its been about a year since Australians were able to purchase Aurora, the bottles began hitting Canadian LCBO shelves on July 8th [we didn’t say anything until now, so we could buy bottles for ourselves first]. It appears to be in limited supply around the province, and you can check local store availability by visiting this LCBO page.

Currently, the original CHV is priced at $59.85 for a 750 ml bottle and a similar size of the limited Aurora is listed at $79.90.

Since its release in 2007, Crystal Head Vodka has racked up  a number of prestigious spirit awards, including a Gold Medal in Russia. That tradition continues with Aurora, which has already garnered a Gold Medal at the 2016 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Aurora is blended from English wheat, while the original CHV uses “Peaches and Cream” corn grown in the Chatham-Kent region of Ontario,  and the brand’s trademark skull shape bottle has an iridescent metallized finish – a tribute to the colourful shimmering Northern Lights (aurora borealis) and Southern Lights (Aurora Australis) that is its inspiration.

You can learn more about the Crystal Head vodkas at their website as well as by visiting them on Facebook.
