Kingston-based indie alt. rock band The Wilderness is celebrating their new EP “Seminary Road” with a release party at The Brooklyn on Friday, November 16th, joined by Kingston’s “Oakridge Ave.” and special guest DJs.
According to their website:
The Wilderness was born from the words of Dick Proeneke, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, a bottle of Wild Turkey, and many late nights in a grimy basement rehearsal space. Through dedication and optimism, The Wilderness has completed the transformation from a few guys who enjoy playing music into a full time indie rock band.
In just over 3 years the band has performed nearly 400 shows across North America, have 3 studio recordings under their belts and have been dubbed one of Kington’s hardest working bands. No strangers to discomfort, the boys hit the ground running from their inception and haven’t stopped. You can find The Wilderness on stages across the country, on street corners or asleep at a truck stop somewhere!!!
The release party begins at 9pm and celebrations continue until 2am. Tickets for the 19+ event can be ordered online – $10 for admission or $20 with a copy of the EP – or for $15 at the door. The Brooklyn is located at 14 Garrett Street in Kingston.
