The Kingston community is invited to join Trio Taco – a touring group from Victoria, BC that includes Alanna Kazdan, who did her undergrad in flute performance here at Queen’s University – when they perform in concert Friday night (Aug.10th) at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
Trio Taco has cultivated a programme of music by international composers, with a spotlight on those from Canada, and will feature works by Kingston’s own Justin Bush, as well as Maria Eduarda Mendes Martins, Diana Cotoman, Jack Fear, Larkin Babbitt, Katerina Gimon, and Ivana Jokic.
Tickets can be purchased online at Eventbrite or the concert’s Facebook event page – and bring a digital or hard copy of the ticket with you to the concert – or with cash at the door starting from 6:30pm.
Tickets will be available on a sliding scale* from $10 – $20.
The concert takes place from 7pm to 9pm at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 263 Victoria Street, on Friday August 10. Doors open a 6:30pm.
*How the sliding scale ticket buying works:
If you are un- or under-employed (or a student), please pay on the lower end of the scale. If you are reasonably employed, please pay towards the middle of the scale. If you are well-employed or otherwise financially well-off, please pay towards the upper end of the scale. No questions asked.
