The Tragically Hip has confirmed the Hip documentary “Long Time Running” will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in September.

The film follows the band from the lead up to their first concert in the 15-show Man Machine Poem tour to their tour’s final performance in Kingston, and feautures behind the scenes clips, interviews with band members, and reactions from Hip fans.
In addition to the doc’s premiere at TIFF, it’s been announced the film will also appear on Bell Media’s MUCH, CraveTV, and The Movie Network, followed by an airing on CTV in late fall. It will also reportedly be released in select theatres in September.
“Long Time Running” is directed by Canadians Jennifer Baichwal and Nicholas de Pencier, and produced by Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn.
