More than 100 musicians will perform onstage next month when Orchestra Kingston and The Kingston Choral Society to present “Pax et Memoria”, a stirring evening calling for peace, remembrance and reflection.

“A huge group like this gives the performers energy and the audience can feel that energy,” said Orchestra Kingston conductor, John Palmer.  In their previous partnership, the two musical groups sold-out The Spire for their performance of ‘The Messiah’.

“Every time John and I bring the orchestra and choir together, it’s not just another choir experience for audiences but a unique thrill,” added Ian Juby, chorus master of the Kingston Choral Society. “I hope ‘Pax et Memoria’ makes people want to come out and experience this big sound as we experience it.”

‘Pax et Memoria’ takes place at The Spire (82 Sydenham Street) on Saturday 9 November 2019 at 7:30pm.

Tickets are $20/$25/$40 at Novel Idea, Tara Foods, Arden Music, choir and audience members, online at orchestrakingston.ca or kingstonchoralsociety.ca and at the door.
