Free “Music in the Gardens” Concerts Begin Next Week

Music in the Gardens marks the beginning of its summer season in Lions Civic Gardens with big band, Nostalgic Sound.

The free concert starts at 7pm on Wednesday, July 4 and the performances of jazz, big band, country or classical music shows continue throughout the season every Wednesday evening between 7 and 8pm.

This year’s concerts include:

• July 4 – Nostalgic Sound – Big Band
• July 11 – Gary Rasberry – Soloist
• July 18 – Turpin’s Trail – Celtic
• July 25 – County Fair – Country
• Aug. 1 – Taylor Donaldson – Big Band
• Aug. 8 – Swing-On Jazz – Jazz Big Band
• Aug. 15 – The Swinging Doors – Country
• Aug. 22 – Swing Time – Big Band
• Aug. 29 – Clarinet Four – Popular Classics

Parking is available at the Cataraqui Town Centre (map), and an accessible drop-off area can be found at the top of the park, or plan your bus trip and take Kingston Transit.
