Kingstonians are being invited to vote on which films will be shown at the 2017 Movies in the Square line up.
Beginning next month, the public movie event will take place one day a week (historically on a Thursday) in Springer Market Square behind City Hall.
Attendance to the screenings is free – just bring a lawn chair.
A list of 16 new films has been compiled and put up for voting online, including Finding Dory (2016), High School Musical (2006) and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016).
There’s also a choice to bring back one previously enjoyed Movies in the Square film, with this year’s selection including A League of Their Own, Mrs. Doubtfire, Rudy, and The Great Outdoors starring John Candy and Kingston area resident, Dan Aykroyd.
The form also includes a spot to write in a (family-friendly) choice that isn’t on the list.
This year’s Movies in the Square choices include:
Beauty and the Beast (1991)
Fever Pitch (2005)
Finding Dory (2016)
High School Musical (2006)
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)
