Friends of Mac Johnson Wildlife Area is inviting the public to attend its annual Fall Festival at the Mac Johnson Wildlife Area near Brockville on Saturday October 13, 2018.
Taking place from 10am to 2pm, the outdoor party will include several fun activities for all members of the family, including for young artists who can build a birdhouse or paint a rock monster.
Visitors can also enjoy the beautiful fall colours while watching waterfowl, possibly trumpeter swans, and an ‘eyes-only’ fall leaves scavenger hunt.
Kayaks and canoes will be provided free of charge by the CRCA to paddle on the pond and, new this year, the event will feature a special fall tree sale.
There will be a barbecue lunch at the Nature Centre featuring live music and afterwards visitors can make popcorn and toast marshmallows at the fire pit near the pond. Also returning this year are the Mush Larose dogsledders,with races beginning at 11am.

To get to the Mac Johnson Wildlife Area, take Highway 29 north from Brockville to Tincap,turn east on Debruge Road and drive for two kilometres to the main entrance.
