Local residents are being invited to “Show us your Kingston” by submitting photos from around the city.

In a release, the City of Kingston said that resident-submitted photos contests have appeared in communications that include the Annual Report, ads, posters and on its website, Twitter and Facebook feeds.

“East-end, west-end, north-end, midtown and rural Kingston – we are hoping to see all kinds of neighbourhoods and all kinds of Kingstonians,” said Debbi Miller, manager, communications and public engagement. “Show us your personality when you show us your Kingston.”

Some of suggested inspirations to find photo opportunities include your walk to work or school, play spaces, neighbourhood, a cherished view, and scenes of your family and friends enjoying the city.

Upload your photos by Monday, July 3 and you could win vouchers for a 2017/18 Grand Theatre Presents show or a 10-ride Kingston Transit card.

Submit your pictures using My City Portal. Simply click “sign in” (at the top right corner) to register / create an account – or to sign in, if you already have an account – at www.CityofKingston.ca.

When you register and/or sign in, you will be able to see photographs other people have submitted as well as being able to upload as many of your own photos as you’d like.

If one of the three best pictures chosen by the City of Kingston’s communications and public engagement division was yours, then you will ticket vouchers to be used for any 2017/18 Grand Theatre Presents show (valid starting Aug. 21 and may be redeemed at the box office).

Everyone who submits one or more photos will have their names entered into a random draw for a 10-ride Kingston Transit card.

The winners will be announced on Monday, July 10.
