The Ring Of Fire: A Johnny Cash Experience Coming to Kingston

in Entertainment by

August 19th will be Johnny Cash Night at Royal Canadian Legion #560 as The Ring of Fire band brings its Canadian tour to Kingston.

The group of musicians – singer Andy Vickers as Canada’s “Young Cash”, Dave Pearson on Lead Guitar, Joey DePaiva on Bass Guitar, and Dave Johnson on Drums – are the youngest in the nation to perform this classic genre of music.

“We have the opportunity to work with some very fine Johnny Cash tribute bands and artists in several countries. There are some of these artists that preserve the legacy of John with a sincere dedication that simply stands out above the rest,” said WS “Fluke” Holland, 40 year band mate & only drummer for Johnny Cash & The Tennessee Three. “The Ring of Fire: A Johnny Cash Experience from Hamilton, Ontario (Canada) is one such band.”

“This band brings back so many memories to me of my nearly 4 decades of working side by side with Johnny Cash,” Holland added.”Their dedication to John’s music and legacy is a brilliant testimony that comes across with their amazing respect to honoring The Man in Black. If you are a Johnny Cash & The Tennessee 3 fan do yourself a favor and check out The Ring of Fire: A Johnny Cash Experience with Andy Vickers. If you want to see the real deal….look no further, they are certainly it.”

The Ring of Fire band is currently on tour across Canada to specifically support Royal Canadian Legions. The young generation of today need to understand the importance of our Legions and the community benefits they offer to our Veterans & their families. Every year 11 Branches close their doors forever due to lack of funding and support. That is 11 doors that close on our Canadian Military Veterans.

ALL musicians & their band manager are proud RCL members and their mission is to prevent any more Legions from shutting down. They encourage new membership and inform every Canadian they can about how easy it is to join up!
