The Glorious Sons – Kingston’s multi-platinum, two-time Juno Award winning rock band – is opening for the legendary Rolling Stones this Sunday, October 17, at Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles.

This concert will mark the third time the Sons have been guests of the Rolling Stones, having opened for them in Marseilles in 2018 and at Burl’s Creek, north of Barrie, Ontario in 2019.

Sunday’s concert in Los Angeles is one of 13 stops the Rolling Stones will be making in the U.S. for their NO FILTER tour – continuing on from the first leg of the tour in 2019 that was postponed due to the pandemic.  The Glorious Sons will also be headlining shows in the States  as part of their “Unfinished Business” Tour in December.

That tour likewise brings the band back to the stage following a lengthy pause due to the pandemic and as the Sons were enjoying the momentum from two chart topping hits in 2019.

S.O.S. (Sawed Off Shotgun) reached #1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart, remaining there for 4 consecutive weeks, and held the #1 spot at Active Rock in Canada for 10 consecutive weeks, spending a record setting 64 weeks on the Canadian Rock Radio Charts and earning CRIA GOLD certification. They matched that success with a second #1 song on Billboard Mainstream Rock and Mediabase Active Rock, Panic Attack, which similarly climbed to the top of the charts at home in Canada, spending an impressive ten consecutive weeks at #1.

Following up on their nominations for the 2020 iHeartRadio Award and 2021 JUNO Award for Group of the Year, The Glorious Sons recently and independently released their latest single “Hold Steady” (lyric video below) which became the band’s 15th top-10 rock radio single in Canada.
