Chilliwack and Foreigner Bring the Hits to Kingston

in Entertainment by

The Rogers K-Rock Centre echoed with the classics of rock Saturday evening as Chilliwack and Foreigner took to the stage with a flashback of their timeless hits .

Chilliwack opened the night, and while their name was certainly familiar to those who came of age during the decades that produced their greatest songs, many in the crowd seemed to quickly become aware of just how many of the band’s songs were lifelong favorites. The performance quickly had people dancing on chairs and in the aisles, singing along and reliving their own glory days.

Headliners Foreigner continued that charged momentum right from their very first chord. Although Mick Jones wasn’t on stage, the band’s world class rock veterans blasted the crowd with one hit after another.

The jukebox heroes brought a huge smile to many faces during night with frontman Kelly Hansen spot on in delivering Foreigner’s huge catalogue of legendary songs.

It was an amazing evening that celebrated Forigner’s 40 year career with enough ear candy from these two legendary bands to last the K-Rock for another four decades.
