Farmers’ Market Posts Schedule of Events for June and July

The Memorial Centre Farmers’ Market has announced its schedule of events beginning in June and July of 2018.

Full details can be found at at least 4 weeks before each event, which all take place from 9am to 2pm unless otherwise indicated.

Weekly until October 14th – Yoga Class on the Grass

Join Janati Yoga School in the grass at centre of market for a FREE class in the yoga grass every Sundays 10-11am in front of the Memorial Centre.

June 3rd – October 14th – Tai Chi on the Grass

Join Fung Loy Kok Taoist Tai Chi for a FREE tai chi class in the grass every Sunday 11:15-12:15 in front of the Memorial Centre. Please dress for the weather.

June 3rd – Cyclist Appreciation Day

Join Cycle Kingston, Yellow Bike Action and friends to kick-off Ontario Cycling Week at market. Featuring special freebies for those cycling to market, a bike-decoration station, a bike-repair station, music by Irwin Straight + the Tallboys.

June 10th – Local Food Week Celebration (pictured above)

Local Food Week takes place in concert with dozens of events happening across the province. Featuring interactive displays, prizes, samples, story telling for Kids, and a local maple rhubarb cake by Bread and Butter Bakery. Music by Jojo and the Slideman.

July 22nd – Zucchini 500 Races (2017 article)

What do you get when you put a zucchini on wheels? A silly Zucchini Car, that’s what! The popular annual Zucchini Car race is chock full of silly fun for all ages. Car-making starts at 9am. Races at 11am sharp.

Join Minotaur Games & Gifts Saturday July 21st 1-4pm for a Zucchini Car making party at 78 Princess St. All supplies provided free or by donation. RSVP online to guarantee your spot.
