Cathedral Announces Choral Evensong, Children’s Choir Begins New Term

The St. George’s Cathedral Evensong Choir has announced it will sing a service of Choral Evensong on Sunday, February 4 at the new time of 4pm.

Directed by Michael Capon, the choir will sing the anthem “Then Shall Your Light Shine” by Kingston composer David Cameron, along with music by C.V. Stanford and John Reading.

The Cathedral also reports a new term for the Children’s Choir – for boys and girls aged 7 to 13 – begins on Friday January 12.

The choir rehearses Fridays from 4:15pm to 5:15pm and will sing monthly on Sundays until the end of May. There is no membership fee and no requirement for previous musical experience.
