Bryan Adams tells Glee Creator to “Pick up the Phone”!

Bryan Adams (source: bryanadams.com)Earlier this month, the blogosphere and mainstream media reported that the band ‘Cold Play’ had finally relented and was now allowing the television hit “Glee” to use its music in their show.

According to quotes by writer/producer/creator Ryan Murphy, the only remaining hold out was Canadian (and Kingston, Ontario born) singer-songwriter Bryan Adams.

Murphy was quoted in a Billboard.com article – as well as many other news and gossip websites -  as saying:

“My favorite rejection was Bryan Adams. Coldplay and Bryan Adams were really the only rejections. But Coldplay called a week ago and said, ‘We’re sorry, you can have our catalog.’””

And now, for a second time, Bryan Adams has gone to Twitter in an effort to debunk that statement, posting last night:

Message to Ryan Murphy / Glee: Please stop telling the press I rejected your show, when we’ve NEVER spoken. Be polite and pick up the phone.

This follows the tweet he made last March 14th, when a similar rumour was making the rounds online, where he wrote:

Just to set the record straight, no one from Glee has ever approached me for songs on their TV show…

Bryan Adams, who just celebrated reaching the milestone of 100,000,000 total views on his Youtube channel, has not made any additional comments as of this post time, nor has Ryan Murphy addressed this or Adams’ earlier statement.

Hopefully this disagreement gets resolved before the Bryan attends the red carpet premiere of the upcoming 3-D animated musical feature “Dorothy of Oz”, which he is currently penning the first songs and lyrics for along with writing partner Jim Vallance…. a film which also includes “Glee” star Lea Michele in the title role.
