Bryan Adams Composing Music for Pretty Woman Stage Play

Kingston-born singer Bryan Adams posted to his Facebook page today that he will be composing the music for a play based on the 1990 film “Pretty Woman”.

The movie’s Director, Garry Marshall, first reported the news yesterday on the CBS chat show “The Talk”. He also said the film’s star, Julia Roberts, had told him she would be attending the play’s opening night.

Both Bryan Adams and his songwriting partner, Jim Vallance, will be composing the music for the stage adaptation which will be directed by Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Hairspray).

Adams also has a song on the soundtrack to Garry Marshall’s new film, “Mother’s Day”, starring Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson, and Julia Roberts.

Pretty Woman is an American romantic comedy film starring Richard Gere and Julia Roberts. It follows the developing relationship between a prostitute and the wealthy businessman who hires her to be his escort for a number of business and social functions.
