Bryan Adams “Shine A Light” Premieres #1 on Billboard Canada Chart

Kingston-born Bryan Adams woke up in New Zealand yesterday to discover his new album “Shine A Light” has premiered on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart in the top spot.

The Kingston-born singer-songwriter posted a photo to his Facebook page, writing: “Just woke up in New Zealand with the fantastic news that the new album “Shine A Light” is no. 1 in 🇨🇦 (Canada)!! Thanks to all my Canadian fans for the huge support of this 14th studio album! we’re coming back soon!”

This follows Bryan’s announcement last Friday that his album had premiered at #2 on the UK Albums chart.

The album includes the “Shine A Light” single (video below), that Adams penned with the UK’s Ed Sheeran, as well as a duet with Jennifer Lopez on ‘That’s How Strong Our Love Is’.

Adams, who performed in concert at Kingston’s Leon’s Centre in late January, was born here in 1959. His father was a member of the Canadian Army and stationed at CFB Kingston during the time of Bryan’s birth and early childhood.
