It began as a class project at Queen’s University and evolved into the world touring, four-time JUNO nominated TV duo Splash’N Boots.
Nick Adams & Taes Leavitt, stars of the hit children’s television show “The Big Yellow Boot”, will begin a new tour on September 22 and it includes a stop back where it all began – Queen’s University in Convocation Hall on Saturday, October 7th from 1pm to 4pm.
They appear daily in over 8.3 million homes across the country in their brand new music videos from their latest JUNO nominated album, “Big Yellow Tunes”, and on their number one hit TV show, “The Big Yellow Boot”, and have connected and inspired an international community of families through their music for over a decade.
Now, four-time JUNO nominees and Treehouse’s very own, Splash’N Boots – whose venture into music began as a class project at Queen’s University and a dream of creating authentic entertainment for families – are excited to announce they will be hitting the road with the Big Yellow Tunes Tour this fall!
Kicking off on Friday, September 22nd in Sault Ste. Marie and ending on Sunday, October 15th in Halifax, Splash’N Boots will bring their live show – a high-energy yet intimate and interactive musical experience (with just the right amount of ridiculous) for kids and parents alike – to stages in Ontario, New Brunswick, PEI and Nova Scotia!
“We’re so excited to go on tour this fall and see so many amazing families across Canada- ones we’ve met over the years, and some new ones too!,” says Taes (the group’s “Boots”). “Connecting with our fans through music is one of the most rewarding parts about Splash’N Boots so we can’t wait to get the Big Yellow Tunes Tour started!”
In addition to brand new songs from their latest JUNO nominated album, “Big Yellow Tunes”, fans of all ages can expect appearances from Big Yellow Boot friends Charlie, Keys, Jumping Jack Granny, and for the first time ever on stage, Chef Brock Lee!
Splash’N Boots have performed over 3,000 shows across North America in major venues such as the Molson Amphitheatre and The Burton Cummings Theatre, as well as international tours in Dubai, Italy, Bermuda and Australia.
They have shared both the stage and screen with Canadian icon, Fred Penner, as well as world renowned children’s entertainers, The Wiggles. In the fall of 2016, Splash, Boots, and their Big Yellow Boot friends travelled across Canada, performing 48 shows in venues coast to coast in their “Big Yellow Boot Tour”.
Paving the way as Canada’s premiere children’s entertainers, Splash’N Boots encourage families to come to each Big Yellow Tunes Tour performance wearing their best yellow and blue outfits, and get ready to sing and dance. Make yourself at home and become a part of the show!
From their social media channels, to their philanthropy with Sick Kids Hospital and Camp Ooch, Splash’N Boots’ connection to their fans extends far beyond the stage. 1$ from each ticket sold on the Big Yellow Boot Tour was put towards “Splash’N Boots 4 Kids”, an organization dedicated to developing deeper connections through music and creating sustainable, long term musical programming for Canadian Children. Their first initiative has partnered them with RPAN (Recreation and Parks Association of Nunavut).
In April 2017, Splash’N Boots will begin working on outreach programs for at-risk children in over 12 Northern Canadian communities. “Splash’N Boots 4 Kids” aspires to make all Splash’N Boots concerts accessible and affordable to all families, no matter what their circumstances, and continually partners with “Kids Up Front” as well as the “Starlight Foundation”
