Singer-songwriter Ben Kunder premiered his new video for ‘Better Human‘ this week and announced a fall tour that includes a September 13th concert at Musiikki Café in Kingston.
The new album follows Kunder’s acclaimed 2015 album ‘Golden‘ and features nine songs that explore themes that include the birth of a child, the struggle for life balance and the workday reality propping up our outward facade to name a few.

Better Human, with engineer/producer Aaron Goldstein at Baldwin Street Sound, features a number of esteem musicians – bassist Anna Ruddick (Randy Bachman, Bry Webb, Ben Caplan), Arkells drummer Tim Oxford, keyboardist Anthony Carone, violinist Drew Jurecka, and drummer Loel Campbell (Wintersleep), and others.
The songs likewise showcase vocal assists from Oh Susanna, Jim Guthrie, Carleigh Aikins (Paper Bird/Bahamas), Sarah MacDougall and Maïa Davies.
Kunder will be touring in support of his new album across Canada, Europe and beyond, including a performance at Musiikki Café (73 Brock Street) on Thursday, September 13. Doors open at 7:30 pm and the show starts at 8pm.
