Following a teaser video sent to her fans on social media, Avril Lavigne announced on Christmas Day that she will be releasing a new album in 2017.
The songstress – who was raised just one town over in Napanee, Ontario – has now followed up with a January 1st photo that may provide a hint about the album or one of its songs.
“Sharing some new #bts (behind the scenes) insight into the new album!” she wrote. “Happy New Year everyone – have a great 2017!”
The photo, embedded below, shows a notebook that Avril has penned in “CHORUS” followed by “I’m a Warrior”.

The hook for her next hit? A song about her battle with Lyme disease? Relationships? …something else?
We may have to wait until the album comes out later this year to know for sure. However, additional hints might also be revealed between now and then on Avril’s Twitter page, on Instagram, or at her Facebook page.
Avril Lavigne is a singer/song writer – as well as a successful entrepreneur, with her own clothing and perfume lines – who has sold over 35 million albums and 50 million singles since catapulting onto the scene in 2002 with her debut album, ‘Let Go‘.
There will be about a four year gap between the release of this new project and her previous self-titled 2013 album that featured hit singles that include ‘Here’s To Never Growing Up’, ‘Rock N Roll’, ‘Hello Kitty’, and ‘Let Me Go’.
