Air Guitar Heroes: Compete to Win Signed Guitar from Bryan Adams

Bryan Adams announced today that he has partnered with DHL to give away a signed Gibson guitar in a “Summer of 69” air guitar competition.

Adam’s 1985 hit song “Summer of 69” was chosen for the contest to represent the parcel courier company’s 1969 founding by partners Adrian Dalsey, Larry Hillblom, and Robert Lynn – 50 years ago this summer.

DHL is also the official logistics partner of the the Kingston-born singer’s “Shine a Light” World Tour.

To enter the air guitar competition, create a video (or photo) of yourself playing the air guitar along with “Summer of 69” and then upload it at inmotion.dhl/bryan.

The performer selected as the best air guitarist will attend a meet & greet with Bryan Adams at one of his live performances and receive a Gibson DHL / ES-235 Special Edition guitar signed by the legendary singer-songwriter.

“Summer of ’69” was released in June 1985 as the fourth single from Adams’ fourth album, Reckless. Co-written with Jim Vallance, the song reached #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and – along with other Reckless hits, including “Run to You” and “It’s Only Love” – helped the album reach the number one position on the Billboard 200 album chart in August 1985.

The song has demonstrated its staying power many times of over the almost 35 years since its release, including being named one of Parade’s Top 10 “Songs of Summer” in 2018 and voted the song “Best at Making Brits Feel Young” the previous year.
