St. George’s Cathedral Summer Concerts Begin June 7

St. George’s Cathedral Summer Concerts begin on Thursday, June 7 with a performance by the Triola Trio, featuring violinists Gisèle Dalbec Szczesniak and Melinda Raymond, and violist Eileen Beaudette.

The concert takes place from 12:15pm to 12:50pm and is sponsored by the Kingston Musicians’ Union.

Summer Concerts continue on Thursday, June 14 with a performance from Montreal piano duo Tatiana Dardykina and Anna Peletsis between 12:15pm and 12:50pm.

Violist Marcus Thompson and pianist Tomoko Inui, also visiting from Montreal, will be performing from 12:15pm to 12:50pm on Thursday, June 21.

Horn player Justin Bush and organist Michael Capon will be holding a concert on Thursday, June 28 between 12:15pm and 12:50pm. The program will include movements from the Sonata for Horn and Organ by Canadian composer Rachel Laurin.

Located at 270 King St. E., the Cathdral’s Summer Concerts will take place every Thursday through to August 30.

There is no cost for admission with a freewill offering collected. Members of the community are also invited to come by for the Cathdral’s mid-day musical.
